Starke Bypass

The Starke Bypass is a proposed right-of-way project by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).  The purpose of the Starke Bypass is to increase operational efficiency of U.S. 301 through Starke, Bradford County, Florida.  U.S. 301 through Starke is a four-lane rural arterial outside of the city limits and a four-lane urban arterial inside the city limits.

FDOT has released Starke Bypass right-of-way maps for two segments.  One segment of the Starke Bypass is from S.R. 100 to S.R. 16 and another segment from S.R. 16 to S.R. 200/U.S. 301.  There are approximately 40 parcels within the Starke Bypass right-of-way project.   Estimated cost for purchasing and building the Starke Bypass is estimated at a cost of $46 million.  The project is planned from 2013 through 2016.
